The History of Holland America's Rotterdam of 1958

I found this lengthy video on the History of Holland America's Rotterdam of 1958. The ship was a long time fixture on the New York cruising scene offering weekly cruises from the Big Apple to Nassau and sometimes Nassau and Bermuda. The Rotterdam also sailed on various Caribbean itineraries.

As Holland America changed focus, the Rotterdam was home-ported in other locations occasionally visiting NY.  After sailing a successful career for Holland America, the Rotterdam was put up for sale. She was purchased by Premier Cruises and the Rotterdam was renamed the Rembrandt. After Premier's bankruptcy, the Rotterdam was laid-up in Freeport, Bahamas. She eventually was sold to a foundation which performed a massive restoration of the ship into a floating hotel in Rotterdam where she is today.
