The new ship will be named the Flying Clipper and is currently under construction in Croatia at the Brodosplit Shipyard. When delivered, the Flying Clipper will be the fourth and largest sailing ship of the Star Clipper fleet. The Flying Clipper is an exact replica of the France II, ordered in 1911, from Le Gironde Shipyard in Bordeaux, France, At the time and today, she was/will be the largest square rigger ever built. Measuring 8,770 tons, she will be powered by 32 sails.
