Royal Caribbean announced a multi-year plan to add attractions and facilities to it's private island in the Bahamas. The new attractions are said to offer Oasis Class vessel experiences on shore. The attractions will allow passenger not traveling on Oasis class ships the opportunity to part-take in simaliar activities shore side.

In addition, plans call for the creation of a pier capable of handing the largest ships in the world - Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class ships. Currently Oasis class ship do not call at the island because tendering in 6,000+ passengers (on each visit) is very time consuming and also introduces passenger safety concerns. The pier will enable passengers to step directly from the ship to the pier.

The work is expect to start very shortly and be completed in 2019. The construction is expected to be isolated and will not interfere with planned calls at the private island by other ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet.
