The Lengthening of Fred Olsen's Braemar at Blohm and Voss.

While looking at some videos on the internet, I came across this great video on the lengthening of the Braemar of Fred Olsen Line. The ship entered the Blohm + Voss Shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany on May 13, 2008. In this video, the ship is cut in 1/2 and a new 101 foot mid section was inserted. The bow and stern section of the Braemar are attached to the mid-section and Voila! the capacity of the ship is increased to 950 passengers (from 900 passengers) and new public spaces are added / expanded.

The Braemar entered life as the Crown Dynasty for Crown Cruise Line.

Enjoy the video.
