|The refurbished Karnika Showing Off Her New Livery and Duel Funnels Prior to Her Entry Into the India Cruise Market.|
The 70,285gt, Crown Princess-class cruise ship has just completed a comprehensive refurbishment at Sembcorp Marine Admiralty Yard in Singapore. The ship is en route to Mormugao, India and is expected to arrive on April 12. The refurbished ship is expected to enter service from Mumbai, India in mid-April 2019.
The 2,000 passenger capacity ship will be re-named "Karnika" at a gala event in Mumbai on April 19. Karnika will provide an authentic Indian experience catering to both residents of India and passengers world-wide. Jalesh Cruises is expected operate seasonal cruises from India and Dubai for the duration of 2019.
Fo a ship enthusiast like myself, I have to point out that the most recent renovations have converted the ship into a two funnel (smokestack) ship.
The ship has previously sailing as the Crown Princess, A'RosaBlu, AidaBlu, Ocean Village Two and Pacific Jewel.
